Our family dentist offers prevention-based and restorative treatments to help your child enjoy a comfortable care experience from day one. We believe that early intervention and a positive atmosphere can help children grow up without the added risk of dental phobia. Checkups and Cleanings
Early screenings and preventative cleanings lower your child’s risk of avoidable dental disease (such as decay and abscessed teeth.) We can also reduce the chance of emergencies by evaluating your child’s bite on a frequent basis. Our goal is to educate children and their families about smart ways to care for their smiles in the years ahead.
Protective Dental Sealants
Sealants block out bacteria and acids in cavity-prone areas of teeth. When we apply them to the chewing surfaces of back teeth, your child is better able to clean those areas with a toothbrush. Most dental insurance plans cover sealants at 100% up to a certain age, allowing your child to take advantage of this preventative service with no out-of-pocket expenses on your behalf. In the majority of situations, our OKC family dentist recommends sealing the permanent molars when they erupt, which is usually around the ages of 6 and 12, respectively.
Placing sealants only takes a few minutes per tooth. No numbing is needed!
Fluoride Treatment
Professional fluoride treatment helps remineralize weak, cavity-prone tooth enamel to strengthen your child’s teeth. If needed, we can also prescribe fluoride to use at home (this is especially helpful for children with a high cavity risk or who are wearing braces).
Digital X-rays
Diagnostic digital imaging allows us to closely monitor your child’s oral development from year to year. From tooth decay to wisdom teeth to orthodontic assessments, these images allow us to see inside of your child’s developing smile well before symptoms or complications present themselves.
Dental Fillings
Tooth decay can spread rapidly in children’s teeth. By treating cavities early, we can preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible. Minimally-invasive white fillings protect enamel and help stop decay from expanding into adjacent teeth.
Orthodontic Evaluations
Dynamic Dental Orthodontics & Implants has an on-site orthodontist who provides both evaluations as well as comprehensive braces for kids. Experts recommend that all children receive an orthodontic assessment by age 7.
